Master: Clover via Network Pay Display

If the iPad running the Master is connecting the the Clover for the first time, or the iPad is a new one replacing an other one, you will have to install and enable a certificate on the iPad so that Network Pay Display can function.

To install the certificate:

1. Make sure that Network Pay Display is on. You should see a welcome screen. If not, launch Network Pay Display and press Start.

2. On the Master app, go back to the POS Terminal's tab in the Settings of the app and try to connect to the Clover.

3. If the Clover cannot be found, make sure that Local Network is enabled. To enable local network, go to Settings > Apps > Master. Enable Local Network. Relaunch the Master app. Go back to the POS Terminal's tab in the Settings of the app and try to connect to the Clover.

4. If the Clover can be found, a pop-up will appear asking you to download the certificate.

5. Safari will launch on the iPad asking you to authorize the download of the certificate.

6. Once the certificate is downloaded:
  • Go to Settings > General > VPN and Device Management.
  • Tap Clover Prod Terminal Server Root.
  • Tap Install in the top right.
  • Tap Install again.
  • Tap Install on the pop-up.
  • Go to Settings > General > About.
  • Scroll to the bottom to find Certificate Trust Settings.
  • Enable Clover Prod Terminal Server Root.

7. Relaunch the Master app. Go back to the POS Terminal's tab in the Settings of the app and connect to the Clover.

  1. On the Clover enter the admin PIN you setup when activating the Clover.

  1. Enter the pairing PIN that is displayed on the Master app.
